This drive offers a diverse mix of experiences, from scenic country roads to dramatic lookouts and rustic rural landscapes, with a touch of highway cruising.
Prepare for a day of camaraderie, scenic beauty, and pure driving pleasure. Don’t miss this social drive! The food is as good as the views!
Starting in Casula, a short motorway stretch leads to the first exit towards the lower Blue Mountains. A steep and winding descent heads towards the coast, passing through charming heritage villages with plenty of coffee stop options.
Continuing south, another brief motorway drive brings the next exit, with more opportunities for coffee before tackling a challenging mountain climb. The reward is stunning views of the coast and hinterland. A steep descent follows, leading back to the coast, where a ridge-top road offers even more spectacular vistas. A final motorway sprint leads to Gerringong.
The drive concludes at Crooked River Winery, located atop a grassy hill, where a delicious two-course lunch awaits, accompanied by breathtaking views of the south coast, hinterland, and vineyards.
