Our long Social drive event for 2025 will be a 12-night adventure, zigzagging up to the Sunshine Coast and return, on scenic, Porsche loving roads.
Starting with a welcome, meet & greet night in the Hunter Valley, we have planned 8 driving days plus 3 rest days, ending with our farewell dinner at Nelson Bay.
There are 2 days of driving, a rest day, another 2 days of driving and a 2nd rest day. Then we have 1 day of driving followed by the 3rd rest day before 3 reasonably easy, southbound drive days.
Two separate tours have been scheduled, with all venues locked in. The tours are back-to-back, being only 2 weeks apart. We have managed to avoid public and school holidays.
Tour 1 will commence Friday 9th May
Tour 2 will commence Friday 23rd May

The accommodation arranged is among the best available in the areas we are staying.
Group dinners have been organised for each night, after that days’ drive, plus of course our meet & greet dinner in the Hunter Valley. Nightly meals have not been planned on each of the 3 rest days. All organised group dinners will be gastronomic experiences and located in the hotels we are staying.
There are plenty of lunch and/or dinner options to choose from on the rest days, particularly those in Queensland.
Each tour has a limit to the numbers of rooms being held for us by our selected venues. Rooms are only being held for us for a period of time. The Club has contracts with these venues to supply accommodation, breakfast* and parking.
Likewise, we have contracts with the venues for our group dinners - which also have restricted numbers – both maximum & minimum.
In respect of accommodation venues, meals and drive route, each tour will be identical, unless late changes are necessary. Members can choose which of the tours they would prefer but can only register for one.
This event is restricted to:
1. Members Only. Members taking a partner on tour who is not a Club member (or not included as a membership ‘BUNDLE’), need to ensure membership is completed well before tour commencement, contact Michelle Sahu-Khan @ membership@pcnsw.com.au to organise this.
2. Porsche vehicles
3. Members who intend to undertake the entire event.
Members interested in this event need to consider that it is a long tour, with a couple of big driving days, one over 6 driving hours. The total route covers about 3,100 kilometres – averaging just under 400 per day, or 42 driving hours – ave 5.3 per day. Five of the eight driving days are over 5 hours of driving time, the other 3 being approx’ 4.5.
For each driving day, suggested pit stops along the way will add to the daily time. We have planned a total of almost 11 hours of pitstops, averaging 80 minutes per day.
At our welcome night you will be provided with all the detail you will need to enjoy the tour, including route guides, a link to google maps, local area information and lots of goodies.
Our planned notes and route have us arriving at our new venues each drive day at around 3.30pm, - so plenty of time to relax before the night’s gathering at the bar, tell tall tales & enjoy a sumptuous dinner. The exception to this is our final day, where we suggest an early arrival after a reasonably short drive, to savour this wonderful venue and maybe enjoy lunch, before our ‘over-the-top’ final big-bash farewell dinner.
The price to register with the Club for this event is $1,220 per person, which covers:
1. The 9 pre-organised group dinners.
2. Breakfast in Ballina
3. All ancillary costs to stage the events.
