310KM Of Scenic Driving
Enjoy a relatively cycle and other motorist free drive through the Royal National Park to Stanwell Tops before joining the Old Princes Hwy at Helensburgh and then onto the Southern Gateway Centre at the top of Bulli for coffee and toilet stop while admiring the view. Approximately 20 - 30min stop.
Then re-join the Princes Hwy/M1 for a quick cruise along the recently upgraded M1 through to Berry. Here we will take the second of the two exits to Queens St Berry and go onto Kangaroo Valley Rd and then Tourist Rd through to Cambewarra Mountain Lookout. This last section is approximately 13km of all sealed narrow winding in parts bumpy but there are no major potholes nor front spoiler eating road surfaces. However, cautious driving is required! Arrive at Cambewarra Mountain Lookout at Approx. between 12.30 – 1.00pm. Here we get out and stretch our legs and enjoy the spectacular views over Nowra and Shoalhaven before sitting down either indoors or outdoors, depending on your tolerance to the weather conditions, and enjoying very nice lunch options at your own cost.
The Café closes at 3pm so after lunch everyone can head toward home either the way we came or an alternative slightly shorter but still delightful driving route via Kangaroo Valley , Robertson, Glenquarry, the back of Mittagong and join the Hume Hwy at Braemar for a fast run onto theM5.
You must register on-line and select a booking option:
Drive and Lunch Stop - limit 40 people due to indoor seating capacity.
Drive Only - no limit, you can enjoy the outdoor seating weather permitting.
