If you like driving your Porsche for long distances over interesting and well -sealed roads and enjoy the company and comradery of like- minded enthusiasts in the beautiful mid-North Coast of NSW then this is the must weekend away for you.
Day 1.
Start Berowra old tollgate and take old highway to Brooklyn before entering M1, Pacific Hwy across Hexham bridge detouring to Karuah for morning tea.
Then back onto Highway, across the Wootton Way and back onto Hwy and into Harrington for lunch at Harrigan’s Pub on the banks of the mighty Manning River.
Back to the Hwy up to and through Coffs to Opal Cove.
Based on above, if we leave Berowra at 8.30 we would arrive Karuah at 10, leave at 10.30, arrive Harrington 12, leaving 1.30 (latest), arriving Coffs at 4.15.
Day 2.
Leave Coffs heading south on Pacific Hwy, take Waterfall Way to Dorrigo where we turn right onto Tyringham Rd, thru’ Bostobrick, turning right onto Armidale Rd, thru’ Nymboida to Grafton for lunch at the Crown Hotel on the banks of the Clarence River. After lunch, follow the Clarence downstream to Lawrence , then use the Pringles Way to the Summerland Way, left turn back to Grafton, back onto Armidale Rd southbound, left onto Orara Way to Nana Glen for a left on Bucca Rd to Moonee Beach from where it’s a short drive down the Pacific Hwy to the Opal Cove.
The Cost: $75 for Saturday Dinner
$50 for Sunday BBQ Dinner
$10 to join the Drive only.
Attendees need to organize and pay for their own accommodation , drinks, lunches and other incidentals.
